...but today has been too damned irritating for me to want to say much.
It wasn't just the usual suspects who rubbed me the wrong way. Sure, the editors who have not sent checks, don't return calls and commit other aggravating acts remained absolutely consistent, and those few others within my orbit did their normal best to aggravate me.
Today, I was painfully aware of many others who are so adept at striking nerves, from the pompous asses from around the political spectrum to the fools in local government who won't rest until they have turned all of Southern California into one giant condominium project. At that point, all they'll have to do is find water, electricity, food and air for everyone. Which they won't be able to do.
At least all the outside crap occasionally distracted me from thinking about the things that are making my personal existence something less than wonderful.
Unlike last night, I'm no longer thinking of relocating to a cave.
A lean-to in the woods has lots of appeal tonight, though.
It seems the most achievable of my fantasies....

I duuno. R told me today I was being a "dark cloud," whatever that is to mean.
At least you are in good company no?
Yup, Int. You're one my favorite "dark clouds!"
Is that good?
Int -- Of course it is!
Hang in there Scribbs. I'm feeling rather grumpy tonight.
