So there was this eclipse...

...which was beautiful...

But it reminded me that there is only so much you can do with a cheap inexpensive digital camera.

gossamer -- even with my extension lens attached, I had to blow the image WAY up.

kashew -- I say! Too bloody right you don't often see a bloody eclipse....

Roz -- Just drag out the word "red" so it's as long as "bluuuuuue."

"Reeeeed mooooon...."

Gill -- there was indeed! Too bad we can only see them at night, when we should be *yawns* sleeping.

Wow...lovely! I missed it too.

Better than my effort which was so crappy I deleted it from the camera! I live too close to the city anyway to get a good, clear shot. Too much light pollution.

kim -- For me, the eclipse was out over the ocean. Cuts the light pollution way down!

Ryan and Rich were in here while I was re-reading this...they say Thanks! they missed it. HOW many years till it comes back again?????

Another full-on total eclipse is some years off, I think. Partial eclipses happen more often.

I only saw it briefly while on the way to work, just before the last sliver of light disappeared. What I saw was really pretty.
