In about five hours...

...the eclipse begins.

If the fog doesn't roll in, I'll be out taking pictures. Better for my insomnia than lying in bed thinking about things and people I shouldn't think about.

I'll use my "longer" lens, and control the exposure better than this...

Couldn't get the nice reflection on the ocean without over-exposing the moon.

Romantic? Not for me.

It's something to do to get through another night.

I'm enjoying that same full moon right now in my part of the world... it's just now slipping behind some clouds. I didn't know there was supposed to be an eclipse, so I guess not over here....

birdie -- in four hours, it'll be full daylight there, so the eclipse wouldn't be very interesting....

Hmmm...here I am, reading this at 1:50 am.
Insomnia...
Nice pic, it just shows, sometimes we must be pragmatic to get the shot. I am constantly learning that particular little fact.

All I ever see here in Texas is the moon over my neighbor's roof top. Not quite as inspiring as your view. :)
