In the ocean pic, the birds almost look 3D.
That's one of the neat tricks one can do with a telephoto lens, dal. And with some luck....
I should also say, for those who care about such things, that the pelican pic is cropped from a much larger image -- those suckers fly fast! -- and isn't as sharp as I'd like....

That pelican one is from a very unique perspective. All these are impressive. I miss being near the ocean.
HropO...I was standing on a cliff about 50 feet above the pelicans. I'll be trying that shot again, you can bet!
I still wish you could have shown me the sunken city last September... I don't know if I'll be making it over this year... we'll see.
If you do get here this year, birdie, you can bet I'll make it my business to get you there!
Getting outside when it's nice is ALWAYS a good idea.
