Cold and dark...

...as is only natural for an evening in December. At least it's cold by local standards -- 50 degrees at 6:30 p.m., and dropping noticeably -- and, despite the appearance of heavy clouds in the west a couple of hours ago, the chance of any rain seems negligible...

PARENTHETICAL HAVEN'T-THOUGHT-ABOUT-HER-IN-AGES THOUGHT: I used to have a girlfriend who would look at a sunset like this one and say, "oooh, it looks like a religious picture!" I never knew quite how to respond....

Even the birds on the wires huddled together to fight the chill...

Several things have irritated the bejeebers out of me this afternoon and evening. I was going to write about them, but am not in the mood.

Just enjoy the photos....

Cool pictures. I drifted over from Joan's site "Walk this Way..." I can really understand having the bejeebers irritated. My son is playing his Wii and the "music" and noise coming from it is driving me crazy.

Are the shoes gone?

I don't particularly like birds, but they make for a nice photo now and then, like that one.

Sorry, I had to take out the extra word. One day I WILL learn to type.

anonymous Paula -- The shoes are long gone...the fad seems over.

As soon as one of my pairs of runnin' shoes dies, I'll try to sling 'em up there.

dal -- I think the flying rats look good in silhouette...and from a distance.

Nice pics Scrib.
First one looks a bit religious to me ;)

Good pics, Scrib. I was driving around PV today, and the light patterns on the water were really interesting. Of course, I didn't have my camera...

I love scenes like that and I can understand. They are awe inspiring.

Joan -- Definitely wasn't you! I did say "ex," did I not?

And she couldn't take decent photos, either.
