...since it was fairly warm today and, not long after midnight, the rain went away leaving behind clouds that have dispersed to the east.
Actually, the walk was uneventful and relatively meaningless, but gave me an excuse to snap a picture of this little guy, who seemed torn between staying with his people and following me home....
It's been a long time since any living thing wanted to follow me home.

Great picture. Very real and honest. :)
l&s -- he's as real and honest a kittycat as you're likely to find....
Awww...what a little sweetie.
Hospice Kitty is getting frail here and camping out behind the couch in peace away from the dingo.
Very cute little guy. I'd want to take him home if I had my own place.
dal -- you know me, so you know it was difficult to not steal him away....
Joan -- I'm sure you know I had a kind of Hospice Kitty of my own. He outlived the dingos. One day, I'll welcome the next generation. Until then, even a little black & white waif can make me misty-eyed.
you should have taken him home, unless, of course, he belonged to someone else. He looks so sweet and like he's saying: "will you be my new daddy?"

Birdie -- I definitely checked to see if he had family when he started following me and (sadly for me) he did.
There'd have been a new kitty in the house otherwise....
