A strange sunset...

...smoke from a faraway fire gave it an unearthly tint...

...reflecting on flowers clinging to the side of a house...

...and, as night fell, it painted ominous overtones on sky and ocean...

Hooray for pictures. I like the clinging flowers - they are sweet and just need a little bit o' love like the rest of us.

are those bouganvilla? maybe I spelled it right. That's the cool thing about some climates and locales--the semi tropical plants.
Nice photos.

HarpO -- I don't think the flowers are bougainwhatever...even in regular light, the flowers are more violet than red.

But what do I know?

You know a good picture when you see it.

lovely pictures as usual...
and those flowers look like clematis, definetely not bouganvilla, one of my favorites (which I always spell wrong)... these flowers are bigger.

Love the pictures, especially the last one of the beach. Oh how I wish I was there and could walk along the beach!
