...and the rain was over practically before it began. Today is a shirt-sleeve day, temperature-wise.
To my delight -- and I love 'em, no matter what a certain Texan says -- there was a Fiat Nuova 500 parked a couple of blocks from my place...
To give you some idea of how tiny these li'l Fiats are, compare it to the Toyota Prius parked alongside, itself not exactly monstrous...
But I dig big stuff, too, and for some reason a parade of maybe a dozen Ford F-150 pickups from the 1950s and '60s were cruising by as I walked back from the park...
Not an entirely happy Sunday morning, but far from unpleasant....

Thanks for the F150. I've had 3. The one I own now is red, beat to hell, has 254,000 miles and is still going strong. The sun coming out after a rain, Fiats and F150s are all pleasant things. Sounds like you've been busy and deserve some pleasant things. May there be more for you on this pleasant Sunday. Coyoteslinks
Actually, the first one is an F-100, not a -150. The F-150 came along later. Don't know how I missed that....
There's something about men and cars. I said Paul, look at this tiny car and he's been going wow, look at the trucks, look at those..I said yes well, I like the tiny one. :)
We have an f150 at the farm, it is a big white monster! It is a "real" truck...140,000+ miles on that baby.
Hmmm I think I told you this before. I just love driving that pick-up!
The NEW F150 is one of the top cars here, right up with bmw's, but I really wouldn't want to drive it anywhere I had to park it!
That Fiat is cute, it makes the minicooper look large. As long as you only have to cart gum home from the grocery store, and of course, don't have to drag Zao around....
Oops, I'm following Betty around...
Paula, I can see Zao sticking up through the Fiat's sunroof...I bet he'd enjoy that, too!
OK, OK...I'll admit, the Fiat is growing on me. I didn't realize what "homely" was until I googled that Metroploitan. I can't believe how tiny it is compared to that Prius. Remember that little 3-wheeled Iso? The Fiat looks to be not much bigger than that. Yes?
l&s -- The Isetta (built in Italy by Iso and in Germany by BMW) was actually noticeably smaller than the 500. Of course it could only seat two, while the 500 can carry four (two adults and two 0.5-size people).
Ooh..it is so tiny! and blue - my favorite.
I could see me zipping out for some Timbits in the Fiat (tiny car, tiny donuts). But I wouldn't mind an F100 or an F150 from back in the day. I think I'd want a modern chassis and drivetrain under it, though. I'm no purist :-)
