Before showing some of the great European sports and classic cars -- including the "Best in Show" winner, a short diversion into some of the neat oddities that appeared.
This giant Rolls-Royce is not what it seems. Yes, it is a vintage R-R under the polished aluminum skin (well, mostly a vintage Roller)...
...but, under the hood it has a 27-liter, 1000-horsepower "Merlin" aircraft engine, built during WWII (and used in such planes as Mustangs and Spitfires) by Rolls-Rouce...
No show would be complete without an Amphicar, the German land-and-water car from the 1960s...
Here's an odd little runabout (I didn't catch the name), looking like a fancied-up racer...
...with two Harley-Davidson motorcycle engines (boosted by a huge turbocharger) plugged in to push it down the road....
Finally, for the intrepid dal, a fin from the '57 Eldo he admired....

E.J. Potter once put an Allison aircraft engine in a Topolino among other cars, I think. It was for show, only :-)
the Rolls-Merlin actually runs, dal, and was driven on and off the field. The driver was very careful....
I love the odd car. It took thought to make them.
