Attention, WallyMart shoppers...

...the store shelves will be full of your favorite goodies from China, Malaysia and other slave-labor nations in time for Christmas...

An acquaintance who works on the docks tells me people are being laid off. It's not that there is a shortage of incoming cargo to unload -- damn little outgoing -- but a certain group of people that George W. Bush is so enamored of are apparently coming in to work certain jobs for much lower wages....

Oh no! Well, the holidays are notably sad (or bad) for me anyway. I sure won't be going to Wallymart. I may not even be on the internet. ((Hugs)) from Sunny

I hear you Scribs. You in CA know first hand, just like I do in TX. The politicians TELL us what we want to hear, but then don't DO anything. Is anyone really surprised?

That sounds about right.

So, where's the union? I thought those were the vsdrenxy's no one would ever cross.

dal -- the unions (or at least some of them) are eager to see the illegals come in. New members who will be grateful to those who fight to get them more money, you know.

Just wait till the NAFTA highway is built and the boats start docking in Texas.

That's the other reason people are losing jobs here, Int...new cargo facilities being set up in Mexico....
