We're not in Charleston, Toto...

...and Charleston will always have more charm than can be found Where The Ghetto Meets The Sea....

A very, very talented photographer and teller-of-tales, whose work in and around Charleston is well worth going here to savor, has inspired me to watch my step a bit and look down more often as I walk in search of the elusive cement-scratchings that immortalize names, events and statements.

Sadly, I have only found one around here so far, and it's kind of a dud...

I think it's cute. Somewhere in the city of Grand Prairie, Tx on some piece of concrete close to downtown there's Leonard loves Betty drawn there for eternity. I found it years ago and now that I see this I'm going to look for it again!

Cool! Now that you have an eye for it you will find more. I have a whole album full. Soon I will have all the streets of Charleston logged. Rooftops, doors and window boxes are sooo done :)
