I'm a loser, part 42,739...

...because I seem to be the only person in the known universe who has not read a Harry Potter book, seen a Harry Potter movie or felt the slightest tiny twinge of curiosity or regret concerning same.

Even so, I can recognize a hairy potter when I see one....

Well Scribbs, I haven't read one of those books or seen any of the movies either. And you know what? I could give a crap. Hell, it's been well over 5 years since I've even been INSIDE a movie theater!!! How said is that????

Gill -- that's only one year less than it's been since I've seen a movie in a theater.

I'll bet that will change for you soon, though....

Worldwide book sales of this one book in the series are now past a third of a billion, which is a whole lot of books.

I know one sleepy blogger who has read about seven hundred pages of it. I saw one of the movies with her on a DVD. Basically, IMO, it is for kids, which we [scrib and fin] ain't.

Haha, that's a "hairy potter" alright! I'm going to buy the last two books. I'm waiting till the price goes down. I just saw the movie, Order of the Phoenix.

I read the first one, thought it was a fine kids book but didn't get the big deal. They sure have been a big hit for most folks though. More power to the author. $$$$

My sentiments exactly. I could care less about HP.

I have not read any of the books, but have seen at least one of the movies. Nice story etc. Love the picture of your potter. LOL

Add me to "not read potter" club. Don't and don't wanna know. I suppose I am too stingy on why I won't succumb to the hysteria.

I've never read one either and don't plan on it. I don't see what could be so great about them. Oh well, guess I'll never know. :)

Apparently you're in good company. It seems many of your readers haven't read or watched either, including me.

And thanks for the "hairy potter" laugh. I needed that.

I watched the first movie with my kids...
but the only thing that interested me aboutit was that Harry reminded me of John Lennon and his nemesis rereminded me of Paul Mc Cartney.
I have had people tell me that these are the Greek myths restated...maybe...I wouldn't know because I have not read or watched them.

There is no Potter, hairy or Harry in my past or immediate future.

Col. Potter was a funny guy, though...
