...at the Saturday car show.
Not much new and exciting to grab the eye, but some nice classic cars made up for the shortage of modern exotica.
This 1948 Jaguar Mark V sedan was certainly one of them...
As was this delightful 1952 Bentley, a twin (except for the radiator shell and a few very discreet badges) to the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn...
Another rarity was this 1961 Ghia L6.4, a combination of Italian bodywork and Chrysler power. Frank Sinatra owned a similar L6.4...
Finally, a real oddity: a 1920 Opel 8/25 "Torpedo"...

Okay, I'll take all of them, please! Well, at very least, a ride around the block, hahaha!
I like the first two. Now if I could just find a way to afford to buy them. I would be one happy woman.

The Jaguar and the Rolls please...thank you my good man.
Opel had it going on in 1920. I kind of like all these. I wonder how that Ghia drives
John -- I've driven an L6.4. It drives like a typical 1960s American car because, under the swoopy body, that's what it is.
They are like a box of candy. Yummy!
I went to the Sinheim museum yesterday... you would LOVE the place! I had to think of you while there heehee. Maybe, if that trip in September works out and you have time, we can go there! (pictures coming soon.....)
birdie -- I have actually been to the Sinsheim museum...and I would LOVE to go back!
The collection of cars that reside in CA never ceases to amaze me. Too cool! :)
The Ghia would be the most likely car for which you could get parts, so I'll take that one.
OH those car shows look like so much fun.
I am going to HAVE to look up car shows around here, it is just too tempting.
Of course what would old Hoosier cars be? all the good ones are probably stored in garages at the Lily Pad.
thinking out loud, we are in race country, maybe car buffs mix it up?
Sunday is RACE DAY. Yuk
If they couldn't guarantee accidents would people show up?
