Wish I was out there! Either on the ship or 25 miles beyond. The city of Avalon is on this end of Catalina Island. Not that you can see it very often from here...
No desire on my part to be a pelican (I'd find their diet monotonous) but I love to watch the flocks fly by...
Back indoors now, and back to work.

kit -- the pelicans fascinate me. Wish I could spend hours just watching -- and photographing -- them.
They do seem to be directly linked to pterodactyls, don't they?

I have been trying to get a good photo shot of a group of Pelicans for so long.
Good job. Oh yes, Pelicans are desendants of pre-historic animals. ( Dino, I think)
