Survival of the...

...six days in (mostly) sunny Daytona Beach, Florida.

I will post pix and tell stories (the ones I can tell) later, after I have copped some Zs. I've had exactly one hour's sleep in the past 36 or so, and don't know how I'm makin' it right now.

Just so you know: 99% of the trip I actually enjoyed. Amazing, given the circumstances, but true. I credit the people I hung around with for that.

And one stretch of roughly seven hours on Sunday night was, well, the high point of the trip, and would have been even if all the rest had manged to reach "wonderful" status instead of merely "enjoyable."

All will be revealed. With some editing and minor revisions to leave out sunburn, things I did that need to be saved for the paying customers (though I'd love to brag about them), leg pain -- I was, after all, on my feet for most of the time -- and the inevitable moments when I wished I was already the hell home.

I will restrain the thank-yous for Sunday evening, as well.

But first, time to nod off....
