At the park today...

...the annual local gathering of the Kustom Kar and Lowrider crowd. You saw most of the cars here last year. Or the year before.

Overheard: "Daddy, why do they call them "lowriders?"...

Overheard: "Mama, look at the li'l Vato!"...

Two classic Chevy wagons in flames...

Chrome, iron, metal and metalflake...

Guess I wasn't really in the mood today. But it was a nice -- if brief -- diversion. And I need diversions....

Sound like a pretty nice way to spend a late summer afternoon. Thanks for sharing. :)

I'm always up for looking at kandy-kolored tangerine-flake streamline babies.

Cool stuff. There must have been a car show of some kind near here this weekend because we saw lots of neat ones. Sadie's favorite one was a pink and white 57 Chevy.

They had a car show here a few weeks back. I love the older cars.

That low rider barely looks an inch of the ground. It wouldn't make it far in our rain flooded streets.
