Of course neither has any idea what "gratuitous" means....
Though they live in the same house and are remarkably similar in appearance, they are not related....
The first is 4 years old, the second is over 12....
They are generally sweet-natured cats, but the older one is quick to bite if scratched or petted in a way she doesn't like....

they seem pretty happy here, susananne...we have plenty of others around here that are adoptable, though!
