It's not only solid objects...

...that catch my eye in my current black-and-white photographic mood....

PARENTHETICAL I-GUESS-WE-SHOULD-BE-LITERAL NOTE: Yes, you could say the island in the far background is very solid. The water doesn't quite fit the definition of "solid," but is far from fluffy and soft.

New photos coming soon. Some even in color...when I have to.

I am so jealous of the light in this photo. Once again a stunning image.

*blushing again*

A lot of that is being in the right place at the right time under the right kind of weather.

Oh, yeah, and you need to fire off the shutter, too....

Some interesting photos and remakes.
The truck a few pics down may need work. I think I saw one like it cruising the backroads with Baja plates.

This one is kind of eery. Not sure why.
The line "some are born to sweet delight, some are born to endless night" comes to mind. Maybe because this picture could be either, depending upon the cut of one's jib--or mood. Very effective.

JohnO -- I don't think that truck can be salvaged...not even good enough for Baja plates!

For some reason, the ocean photo reminds me of the desert. Must be the cloud formations.
