Merry Christmas!

Wasn't going to post today, but JohnO's comment in the previous thread reminded me that there might be one or two people out there who haven't heard "The Christmas Song."

So here it is, sung by the composer* himself....

It just wouldn't be Christmas without Mel's tune playing....

* That would be Mel Torme, who was nicknamed "the Velvet Fog" for his smooth voice....my music teacher, who knew Mel, called him "the Velvet Frog," but that's another story....

Holy smoke, I didn't realize that was Mel who sang and wrote that. One of the best Christmas songs ever. Didn't know the title of it either.

JohnO -- And it's probably the simplest, and most direct, title for a Christmas song!

Loved that. I didn't know he was the composer either. Thanks for the treat.
