So there was this eclipse...

...which was beautiful...



But it reminded me that there is only so much you can do with a cheap inexpensive digital camera.

  7. gossamer -- even with my extension lens attached, I had to blow the image WAY up.

    kashew -- I say! Too bloody right you don't often see a bloody eclipse....

    Roz -- Just drag out the word "red" so it's as long as "bluuuuuue."

  12. Better than my effort which was so crappy I deleted it from the camera! I live too close to the city anyway to get a good, clear shot. Too much light pollution.

  16. Another full-on total eclipse is some years off, I think. Partial eclipses happen more often.

  17. I only saw it briefly while on the way to work, just before the last sliver of light disappeared. What I saw was really pretty.
